Natural Remedies for Damaged Toenails
1. Baking Soda
Baking soda has antifungal properties. You can make a paste by mixing it with water and applying it directly to the affected nails. Another option is adding baking soda to a warm foot bath.
2. Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil is well known for its antifungal, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory effects. Apply a few drops directly to the affected area twice daily until symptoms improve.
3. Oregano Essential Oil
Oregano (Origanum vulgare) produces a powerful essential oil that can irritate the skin if used undiluted. Mix it with a carrier oil such as olive oil before applying. Leave it on the nail for at least 15 minutes, then wipe away any residue.
4. Ozonated Sunflower Oil
Ozonated sunflower oil is created by infusing sunflower oil with ozone, resulting in compounds with medicinal properties. Apply a small amount to the affected toenails twice daily.
5. Lavender Essential Oil
